Members of the local chapter of a national organization for supply management professionals approached us to design a logo and website for their local group. The website featured a frequently changing announcements panel, which was done via a custom interface (since this was back in the days before content management systems and WordPress were so readily available). A password-protected members only section was created based on an easily-updated text file that the client could upload himself whenever the site’s member list changed. The site also featured searchable directories of vendors and products, and a library of articles on supply management and logistics topics, as well as links to their online eLearning courses. Certain pages also had rotating banner ads from members and other local businesses.
