We love late summer in Oregon, when it's warm, dry, and the sunbeams coat everything with a unique shade of gold (and the limited clouds make for beautiful pink sunsets). But in general, Oregon sure has a lot more weather than we ran into back in the Silicon Valley. In the years since we moved here there have been weeks that have included everything from several inches of rain, high winds, hail, and snow, clear up to sunshine and even 80-degree temps (yes, we really mean all those things happened in a single week). If you're planning to visit, you may want to call first and get the current road/weather status so you know what to wear, or if you should just request we drive down the hill and meet you at Starbucks.
