OSBEELS approached us to design a logo for use on marketing materials. They especially needed a symbol that could be used for booth decoration when at trade shows and conferences where they were providing information to potential engineering students. We enjoyed this Oregon logo design project -- it was fun to figure out a way to describe engineering and land surveying in symbols. The blue color for their logo design came from the blue already in use in their newsletter and on their business cards. The wavy line, curved triangles, and grid lines were all inspired by samples they showed of land surveying and engineering documents.
We designed a custom InDesign template for OSBEELS (Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying), and produced multiple issues of their newsletter for print and the view online. In addition to placing the text they provided in the template, the regular issues required creation of custom 3D charts showing results of various state tests. We also found stock imagery for their general information articles.
